Latest Hangar Completed at Oxford Airport Airplane Logo

June 2009 - The latest and largest addition to Oxford Airport’s hangar line-up has just been completed. Built by Italian firm Costruct, the facility is large enough for the Boeing 737-800 series so will accommodate aircraft such as the BBJ, A318/319/320 family and the new Embraer Lineage (EMB-190 series).

At 21,000 sq.ft., this, the 11th hangar at Oxford is unique in the United Kingdom consisting of a geodesic tubular steel frame structure rising up to 15.5m at its peak. Hangar doors were supplied by Crawford Megadoor. Hangar No.11 increases hangared parking capacity immediately to host a variety of aircraft looking at Oxford as a home base.

See hangar Megadoors in operation here.
