The New Phenom 300

April 2010 - FlairJet, the London Oxford Airport based business aviation charter company, announced today it will add its first Embraer Phenom 300 light jet to its managed fleet from July 2010, having signed an agreement with its private owner last week. The aircraft will be the first of the type on the UK register, confirmed FlairJet CEO David Fletcher.

FlairJet has also agreed to take on a third Phenom 100 (G-RAAL) also under management. It is due to be accepted in May and the company is currently recruiting for several additional type-rated pilots. It has also moved into expanded premises at Oxford Airport in readiness for the fleet and personnel expansion.

“We have enjoyed a very good introduction to service with the Phenom 100, the first two of which starting flying in January. Reliability has been good. We’ve flown a mixture of leisure and business travellers (averaging 2.4 passengers per flight) to destinations such as Munich, Paris, Hamburg and Nice and are seeing bookings increase month by month,” he said.

“Passenger acceptance with the Phenom 100 has been very positive. They like the light, roomy cabin of the Phenom 100, plus the enclosed toilet. Many have told us they prefer the aircraft to the smaller Cessna Mustang. Now we are looking forward to introducing the larger Phenom 300 too to offer clients a longer range. The Phenom 300 has been designed for a 1,971 n.m (3,650 km) range, enabling trips to such destinations as Moscow and Athens. Enhanced performance of 521 mph/457 kts KTAS is achieved through its swept wings and winglets. “Like the Phenom 100 the larger 300 has great ramp appeal too,” said Fletcher.

FlairJet, backed by three London based QCs, will receive its own purchased aircraft in 2012. Until then it is managing privately-owned G-SRBN and G-DRBN.
