 What can we say? Oxfordshire is awash with some great pubs, restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets. Just two miles away in the picturesque town of Woodstock is a good selection to choose from – at least eighteen different establishments. In Oxford city itself are some of the finest, busiest, oldest and most notorious pubs, bars and restaurants in England. From a £5 meal around the corner in Thrupp, to quite possibly one of the best Michelin-stared restaurants in the UK, Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons, the choice is excellent, and all within a stone’s throw of Oxford Airport. The Crazy Bear hotel and restaurant, the other side of Oxford at Stadhampton, is another unique dining experience not to be missed.
The airport of course has its own ‘Horizon’ restaurant if time doesn’t permit venturing off the airfield for an hour or more. Recently refurbished, this offers excellent hot and cold dishes every day along with a selection of salads and sandwiches. A new bar/café and retail shop have also been established on the airport site for snacks and drinks through the day, seven days a week. If time permits though, we strongly recommend venturing 15 minutes down the road into the city of Oxford where the choice of bars, restaurants, pubs and clubs is ever-expanding – well over 250+ at the last count!
