Gliding near Oxford
Oxford Airport does not host any gliding clubs or schools due to the level of powered aircraft traffic we see. Certain powered gliders do fly into Oxford from time to time. However nearby, there are several alternative locations to choose from including Weston-on-the-Green, Enstone and Bicester. The nearest club is the Oxford Gliding Club at Weston-on-the-Green.

We would rather prefer that you stay in the aircraft, but for the more adventurous amongst you, we would recommend visiting the RAFSPA at Weston-on-the Green, our neighboring airstrip. Please do not try this over Oxford Airport – thank you!
