C-17 Globemaster visits Oxford Airport
August 2005:   Formerly the Oxford Air Training School, Oxford Aviation Training has just celebrated their first 40 years of providing airline pilot training at Oxford Airport.  Having graduated well over 18,000 commercial pilots, many are still working for airlines all over the world.   Today, the company’s latest Airline Preparation Programme is considered to be the benchmark for training standards across the globe.  A day of celebrations included a student awards ceremony with guest of honour, John Cheffins, COO of Rolls Royce plc. preceded by a fly-past of several aircraft including a C-17 Globemaster from Brize Norton.  The day concluded with the annual student’s summer ball which was attended by several hundred graduates, staff and guests.
