Oxford Airport Offers New Beauty Treatment Room Airplane Logo
June 2006 - Oxford Airport, just 45 minutes to the west of the greater London area, recently acquired the on-site health and fitness centre, Aviators, which is now fully integrated into the airport’s portfolio of services.

Following a refurbishment program, crews, passengers and other visitors to the airport can use many enhanced facilities including squash courts, a large gym area, Pilates studio, tanning booths and now a new beauty treatment room - ‘All About You’.

Providing a calm, relaxing environment, crews can be revitalised with Dermalogica face, hand and feet treatments, or perhaps a back and chest wax and many more options for female visitors.

Commenting on the new amenities, Aviators Fitness Club manager, Jason Biles said ‘today’s fast paced environment means it can be very difficult to look after yourself properly and find time for some exercise.  At Oxford Airport, you can easily do this and now also consider some revitalising treatments, just a few minutes walk from the door of your aircraft’.

James Dillon-Godfray, Head of Development, commented ‘to the best of our knowledge, there aren’t many, if any FBOs out there that can boast a health and fitness centre, or indeed offer beauty treatments in such close proximity to the aircraft ramp.  Oxford routinely surprises visitors with the amenities both on site and nearby.  We’ve got Blenheim Palace, literally the other side of the airfield, a World Heritage Site, and then between Woodstock and Oxford city, thousands of hotel rooms and hundreds of pubs, bars and restaurants, all within a few minutes drive’.

Oxford enjoys other on-site amenities including a Starbucks-franchised café and bar, 51’50’, a restaurant open for early breakfasts, an internet room with 20 PCs and an ATM machine.  After investing US$15m in the infrastructure over the last two years, including most recently a new runway and instrument landing system, the airport offers an attractive alternative to the traditional ‘London’ options with few constraints and arguably easier access both by air and on the ground.
