July 2005: Oxford Airport is the place to be if you are interested in building your flying hours or an enthusiastic PPL.
The new LA Flying Club (LAFC) has just opened its doors at Oxford Airport and is all set to offer individuals with an interest in flying, low cost, affordable regular rates.
LAFC has a fleet of Piper PA-28s and PA-38s, meticulously maintained by CSE Aviation based at Oxford. The aircraft are also regularly valleted and ready for flying enthusiasts at short notice.
The Club will be offering its members low cost flying rates and upon joining, the first two hour flights will be at the special introductory rate of just £59.95 per hour.
LAFC will be open from 07.30hrs to 20.00hrs every day of the week. Come and have a chat and coffee with James and Glen and check out our aircraft.
Owner Melvyn John, a keen flying enthusiast himself, said recently: I am delighted to open LAFC at Oxford and be in a position to offer everybody the opportunity to fly at low cost, affordable rates. Being a pilot myself, I know that sometimes it is difficult, especially in the early days, to be able to build and keep your flying hours up. The new Club presents a great opportunity for everyone and the prospect of meeting new flying friends is really exciting.
