October 2005: As part of an overall scheme to enhance the retail amenities at Oxford Airport, the first phase, the newly refurbished restaurant was opened recently.
The Horizon restaurant will be complimented in November with a brand new bar, retail shop and internet café. A private dining room is now available for both residents and visitors to use for meetings. Managed by Avenance, the new facilities will greatly enhance the areas open for visiting pilots, training school students and passengers to use. The new shop will offer light snacks along with newspapers, magazines and general supplies.
Other airfield amenities include a sports centre, bed & breakfast accommodation and a cash point giving Oxford an edge over a great many other general and business aviation airfields in the UK.
