Oxford Airport is owned and operated by Oxford Aviation Services Limited (OASL), but trades as ‘Oxford Airport’. In July 2007, OASL was acquired by OA Acquisitions Limited, a subsidiary of OA Holdings Ltd which was initially held by Aldersgate Investments. The entire shareholding of OASL now rests with Alnwick Estates Limited (BVI-registered). Ultimately, the airport is part of the Reuben Brothers Holdings portfolio of investments. The Reuben Brothers have varied interests in property and several other diverse businesses through the provision of both private equity and venture capital, often through mezzanine finance deals.

The Reuben Brothers current and past interests include global property developments and holdings with a significant portfolio of London buildings and nationwide retail centres. Proposed overseas projects include the likes of Gibraltar East Bay, a £1.9 billion (US$3.8bn), six million sq. ft. marina and retail complex for which the lead architect is Lord Foster and Partners. Other investments in leisure-related industries include over 1,000 UK pubs, clubs and racecourses, notably Northern Racing and Arena Leisure, the Wellington Pub Company, Ultimate Leisure and Spirit pubs.

Investments in the technology sector include Global Switch, Europe and Australasia’s largest network of data centres, providing over 3 million sq. ft. of state of the art data storage facilities. In 2007, they acquired a significant shareholding of McCarthy and Stone, the retirement home construction company, in a £1.2bn transaction.
