Oxford Airport
Security Screening (NASP) Airplane Logo
Oxford Airport undertakes security screening in accordance to UK DfT requirements under NASP (National Aviation Security Program). For operators requiring NASP screening, Oxford Airport requires 24 hours notice.

Passenger and baggage screening is required on all outbound, public transport (charter or scheduled/commercial) flights in aircraft over 10 tonnes (22,000 lbs) maximum take-off weight (MTOW) or with more than 19 seats. NASP policy is based upon initial recommendations with European Union Regulation (EC) No. 2320/2002 and subsequently Regulation (EC) No. 300/2008

For those passengers and crews on flights requiring screening, baggage allowances and information on prohibited goods can be found here.

New rules on liquids within cabin baggage have been in place since 2006 and can be seen here (docx - 147KB).

On occasions when screening is to be undertaken, additional measures and controls on airside and vehicular access in the vicinity of the terminal will be in place. We respectfully request that airport users appreciate the requirements for such measures on those rare occasions and adhere to the directions of security, terminal, air traffic control and other airport staff.

Notifications for the requirement for NASP screening must be given to Airport Operations at:
