Main purpose of job:
The principal objective of a Rescue and Fire Fighting Service is to save lives. The operational objective of the RFFS is to respond as quickly as possible to aircraft accidents and/or incidents to promote the opportunity for saving life. The role of fire fighter involves extremely difficult physical work as well as the skill to apply previously acquired knowledge to work effectively as part of a team in emergency situations. This involves the protection of life and property by combating, extinguishing, and preventing fires. Work involves training for and participating in firefighting duties, providing emergency care for sick and injured persons and fire prevention activities on assigned shifts. Other duties include routine maintenance of fire apparatus, as well as training in new and existing firefighting techniques and practices.
The role of Firefighter also includes the proactive safety management preventing Aircraft incidents. The duty of wildlife control and monitoring, protecting Aircraft from wildlife incidents and collating data that leads to strategic improvements in the wildlife management plan, promoting aviation safety. Operations Controller
We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking and hardworking individual to join our expanding Customer Operations Team. As an Operations Controller you will be the face of London Oxford Airport, working on the main terminal operations desk providing a first class service to crews and customers alike. From providing flight critical information to pilots, to meeting and greeting passengers on the main apron – this is a varied and exciting role where no two days are the same.
