CRANES APPLICATIONS

 

Permission to operate a crane or similar tall equipment above 10m AGL within a 6km radius of London Oxford Airport requires a permit that can be requested via Air Portal.

Applications for a permit should be submitted a minimum of 4 weeks in advance of your operation. A permit fee is charged to cover the costs of assessing and processing your application. Please note in the event of an external safeguarding assessment being required an additional fee may apply and will vary depending on the level of assessment required.

 

Permit Fees:

  • Standard Crane Application – £240 (inc VAT)
  • Expedited Crane Application, with a response within 5 working days – £400 (inc VAT)
  • Crane Extension of existing Permit – £60 (inc VAT)
  • External Safeguarding Assessment Fee – dependent on the assessment level required, fee to be advised on review of application

 

Please note, cranes or tall equipment operating at or above 100m AGL must also notify the Civil Aviation Authority regardless of proximity to airports or height of surrounding structures, via ACOMS.
